Heat pumps – heating for the future!
Whether you have an older or new building, underfloor heating or traditional radiators – the right heat pump provides the heat you need and produces less CO2 than a gas or oil heating system. Combined with a photovoltaic system or green electricity, you can heat your home with virtually net-zero CO2 emissions.
The most important questions about heat pumps:
How much does a heat pump cost?
This depends on the heat pump’s output and type. The larger the area to be heated and the poorer the building’s insulation, the more power the unit requires. We consciously chose Panasonic heat pumps because this manufacturer offers excellent value for money together with outstanding service. Panasonic calculates the heat pump output you actually need, giving you the guarantee that your heat pump is right for you.
As an example, you will receive a heat pump from our partner Panasonic for a living area of 140 qm² and a 9 kW system
from €20,000. After deducting the currently applicable subsidy, your system will therefore cost you just €14,000, including installation and commissioning. If your current gas or oil heating system is more than 20 years old, you can also benefit from a 10% heating replacement bonus.
That, too, naturally depends on the system’s output. It is often reported that a heat pump has caused electricity costs of several thousand euros. This happens when the system has not been correctly sized and configured. There are several possible causes. On average, the system consumes between 27 and 42 kWh per year.
Our heat pumps are individually sized for you by the manufacturer, professionally installed by us and then commissioned by Panasonic’s technical service team. This guarantees that everything is set up correctly.
How much electricity does a heat pump use?
What are the benefits of
a heat pump?
Heat pumps require only around 25% electricity as energy to power them. They obtain the rest from the environment. When optimally configured, they can save a considerable amount of electricity and therefore reduce CO2 emissions. A benefit for you and our climate. With a heat pump powered by green electricity, which now costs only a small premium over conventional electricity, you can heat your home with net-zero CO2 emissions. Combined with a photovoltaic system and battery storage, a heat pump also makes you virtually self-sufficient: rising prices and supply shortages for electricity, oil and gas are no longer an issue for you! Heat pumps also require very little maintenance.
With a smart heat pump, your unit is integrated into our Homematic IP Smart Home system. In addition to controlling and monitoring it from home and on the go, this connection offers many other benefits, tailored to your wishes and needs. With our smart thermostats, underfloor heating controller and window contacts, you can achieve maximum energy savings. The easiest way to use your heat pump efficiently.

Do I need an energy consultant?
We strongly recommend contacting an energy consultant at an early stage. Whether you are building a new property, renovating or replacing existing equipment, an energy consultant can advise you on all aspects of energy savings and available funding. They will prepare your individual heating load calculation, which forms the basis for sizing your heat pump. This is the only way to ensure that the system is neither oversized nor undersized.
The subsidy ranges from 30% up to a maximum of 70%. (As of April 2024, source: https://www.kfw.de/kfw.de.html).
We recommend contacting an energy consultant who can guide you through the funding maze and help you find the right options.
